| James Carbine
Having lived and worked in middle Tennessee for more than 20 years, James Carbine has become known as one of the area's finest builder/developers. Along with his brother and business partner, Denzel, James has built and been involved in the development of more than 3,400 high-end, quality homes in the region.
Bringing to the table not only his builder/developer expertise, but his background in financial planning and accounting, James is the primary link to the local government planning and zoning commissions. As a Certified Public Accountant, James also works on the sales and finance sides of the Tollgate Village project and is co-owner of Carbine Development.
James views Tollgate Village as a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together to live, work, shop, and play. A comfortable lifestyle that includes access to basic amenities such as grocery stores, retail shops and entertainment venues are of the utmost importance to him when developing traditional neighborhood communities such as Tollgate Village. James is also a strong believer in bringing high-tech, high-speed data connections to traditional neighborhood developments to allow business professionals in today's telecommuting age to be able to work from the comfort and convenience of their own home.
James' credentials include serving as the President of the Home Builders Association of Tennessee in 2005 and serving as a director of the organization for 9 years. James also served as president of the Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee in 1999 and has been involved with the organization for more than eleven years. In 1994, James founded the House for Hope Foundation as a way for area homebuilders to give back to their communities. Since its inception, the House for Hope Foundation has raised and distributed almost $500,000 to area charities - 95% of which is donated to organizations that help children.
